Error:
Windows did not finish loading on the previous attempt. A clean start is recommended, to allow you to remove drivers or reconfigure your system. Do you wish to clean start [Y,N]?
Cause:
Windows was shut down incorrectly during a previous session. Not all of the files and drivers have been closed correctly.
Solution:
Click 'Yes' to start the computer in Safe Mode.
1) Turn on the computer.
2) Wait for the 'Starting Windows 95' message to appear.
3) Press F8 IMMEDIATELY. (The text-mode 'Microsoft Windows 95 Startup Menu' appears.)
4) Select one of the following safe-mode options:
a) Select 'Safe Mode' to start a normal Windows session in safe mode.
b) To maintain network connections when you start Windows, select 'Safe mode with network support'.
c) To start a command-line only session, select 'Safe mode command prompt only'.
NOTE 1: When starting in safe mode, Windows 95 bypasses the information in the Registry and the Config.sys and Autoexec.bat files and starts with the minimum device drivers required by the operating system.
NOTE 2: When you start the computer in safe mode, you will not be able to access any components which are not essential to the operating system (such as printers, CD-ROM devices, and sound cards).
